My Style: A Splash of Color with Melissa McCarthy Seven7 Denim at Macys

I do love a great pair of jeans. Love them. I have written more than a few plus size denim guides, shared tips and tricks, so when it comes to jeans? I like to say I know my way around them! So when I was invited to give Macy’s plus size fashion selection a whirl, I immediately picked out these fun and playful jeans by Melissa McCarthy Seven7!

I mean, I am not sure if you noticed, but Macy’s has been stepping up their plus fashion options, with collections by Melissa McCarthy Seven7, Nanette by Nanette Lepore Plus, Rachel Rachel Roy Curvy, and even City Chic!Marie Denee in Melissa McCarthy Seven7 Denim from Macys on The Curvy Fashionista

There are sooooo many other brands that they carry! So choosing a look to play in was a bit of a fun challenge, but denim I was drawn too! AND given that Melissa’s collection is produced by Seven Jeans, I had to see how this worked!

A little spunky and sassy! Allowing the jeans to make a statement on its own, I kept my top simple with this white graphic tee by Rachel Rachel Roy Curvy! I mean, I do love a playful and sassy look, so why not?

But wait. These Jeans? Ummmmm. So good! Can we talk about how these jeans move with you? They even have a contoured waistband for full back coverage, so no mooning anyone! Which only made for easy wear! Usually, when wearing denim, I would keep it simple, but in the spirit of owning it and stepping out of my comfort zone, I rocked it like this!

I mean, if I want the jeans to do the talking and to have everything marry seamlessly, a great heel it is! BUT, if I really wanted to, I could pop a bright neon green heel, to give it some extra sass! And should it get cold? I will happily toss my leather jacket over my shoulders, for an even more rock and roll, bad girl, playful vibe!

Would you rock these jeans? How would you make this look yours? Is this something you could see yourself playing in? I want to know!

When was the last time you peeped your plus size department at Macy’s?

Mine over at Lenox is kind of spacious and jam-packed! I know I will be back there soon!
