My Style: InVESTed in Spring + a Giveaway with Stage Stores! (Closed)

Sooooooo, I have been ready for spring for a good minute, and it looked like mother nature was ready too… but then a storm changed her mind a little bit. SO, I am back to layers and keeping warm-ish. And when Stage Stores reached out to me to play in this Signature Studio plus size vest, I thought… perfect timing, a fun way to push myself out of my box, and a cool opportunity to hook one of you up!

Now, normally, I would not rock a sleeveless vest. I have a few and because of the extra thought that goes into rocking one, I have always passed. BUT, in this year of Walking in It, pushing myself outside my own comfort zone, and wanting to dive into more plus size separates, I happily obliged this challenge and wanted to show you a few ways that I would make this vest mine.

I mean hey, why not?! I mean, it is a classic, with a Notch lapel, Open front (no buttons or zippers), Sleeveless and Split Side Seams. And with it in black and the vest having a little drape to it (it was a bit heavier in weight than others) I knew that there could be a little fun to be had here! Seriously!

With this vest, I went the route of denim. It is spring and I wanted to have more than a little fun here and test these looks out! And with Stage Stores? I had never shopped here before and with more than a few options in plus, I thought, why not! (I think this is going to become a theme for me… lol)

Here is how I made it mine:

Look One: Just a Pop of Color!

Plus Size Blogger- Marie Denee of The Curvy Fashionista

Paired with a tank from Adea, my Silver Jeans, and Purple (Wide width!!) heels from JustFab I feel ready to take on the day, head out for drinks with my girlfriends and maybe bust a move on the dance floor (at a lounge, cause, I do not do clubs anymore… hehehehe)Plus Size Blogger- Marie Denee of The Curvy Fashionista

Look Two: Casual CutiePlus Size Blogger- Marie Denee of The Curvy Fashionista

So here, it was a bit chillier and I wanted something that made me feel pulled together but still relaxed. To do this, I layered my vest with a long sleeve tee and my Eloquii wide leg cropped jeans from a few seasons ago! Running errands, chilling with the homies, headed over to a girlfriend’s home… this look is chill and relaxed and fun, with my Kate Spade bag!Plus Size Blogger- Marie Denee of The Curvy Fashionista

  1. I’m self conscious about my arms so I would probably wear it with a long sleeve shirt. I love it with the purple heels 🙂

  2. I would wear the vest with a pair of light blue distressed skinny jeans and a basic short sleeve shirt and a chunky necklace for that added extra flair.

  3. Really cute Marie! I like the no sleeve look. It’s scary sometimes for us bigger girls to have our arms out there, but it’s also freeing! Both outfits are adoreable!

  4. I like the first style you showed. Looks cute with tank the tank top. I would wear with a long sleeved dress shirt that hangs down with slits on the sides, jeans and boots. Love the vest! Thanks for the article!

  5. Most definitely Look 1 ” A Pop of Color “. I love that look it’s so me in every way. I have to have this vest one way or anothet. You my dear are wearing that vest in all the looks but then again you look good in whatever you wear.

  6. Look #1 with the rocking purple heels that are to die for! They seem to make the clean lines on the vest pop. Love it!
