Serious About My Heels: Test Driving My Amopé Foot File!

Over the past few weeks, I have shared with you the fun that I have been having with Amopé and their newest products to care for the feet. Now, I do not know about you, but my feet care is so damn important to me! Call it one of my self-care indulgences, my necessities, or part of my regimen, but one thing I try my best to keep up are both my hands and feet! And when I am not able to get to the nail shop within the recommended two-week time frame, I need something to extend the life of my pedicure…

But when I tell you I am obsessed with my feet… I would keep various pumice stones in the shower or a small one in my nail care kit and I have tried past inventions for the heels. I do not play.

BUT, you know what drives me insane? My heels scratching the sheets! THAT is the most frustrating feeling… It gives me the hee bee gee bees! I HATE IT. On the flip side, depending on where you go, some nail shops would do the whole sloughing off the skin from the heels, only for your feet to feel a little scratchy afterwards! HATE IT.

Did you know that Amopé is Portuguese for “Love My Feet?” How cool! Amopé was also created out of the idea that “beauty and skin care shouldn’t stop at the ankles.” Amen.

So I had to give the Amopé Pedi Perfect Wet & Dry Rechargeable Foot File a go and I had to do a little show and tell! I am not going to lie, I was nervous and curious. I was not sure JUST how smooth these heels could get after two weekends of walking, traveling, and high heels (especially after high heels)!

And to top it off, I am ticklish, so I was not sure how this was going to FEEL. BUT, girlfriend. Let me break it down my pictures for you!

Here is my before shot BEFORE my Amopé run:

Serious About My Heels Test Driving My Amopé Foot File! #DoYouAmope I love my sandals, but the back of the sandals rub against my heels, and take all of the lotion off!

So as I am running the file on my feet, it is a very soft file, AND it does not tickle me!

I spend about five minutes (not really, but it felt like it) on my right foot, making sure that I get the side of my foot, the ball of my foot, and slow down on my heels!

I wipe of the dead skin with a damp cloth and then I apply this UBER scrumptious and thick and amazing Pedi Perfect Extra Rich Skin Recovery Foot Cream. THIS cream? Is everything. Without being greasy! Like. I need this in a bigger bottle and I need to use this everywhere… it is that good.

And afterwards? Well, here is the Amopé Difference!

On the left is my heel without Amopé and the foot cream. On the right? Is after Amopé and the uber fancy Pedi Perfect foot cream!

AMAZING!!!! And it is sooo damned smooooooooth! Like. Smooth AND soft! Girl, I had no idea what to expect, but honey… I am a believer. Can you see????

  1. I actually get my feet done at a salon once a year. But other than that I’m in socks because it’s cold a lot up north. I may cut my nails but man I need what you have when the lotion rubs off its not cute lol
